The Government of the Republic of Congo has commemorated the 62nd Anniversary of proclamation of the Republic.
The event was commemorated on the theme; “Unity, Peace and Patriotism to Consolidate the Republic and Defeat Covid-19”.
It was chaired like for the past years on November 28, 2020 by the President of the Republic of Congo, H. E. Denis Sassou Nguesso accompanied by his wife.
The event unfolded at the “Place de la République” under strict preventive measures against the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Special attention this year was on the youths.
During the ceremony, the youths recited the words of the President of the Republic through tales, interviews, books, speeches and declarations.
The 62 years of the Republic of Congo was an occasion to showcase the evolution of the country in all social sectors in the country.
The event is a source of pride to the Nation, and serve to understand the relevance of patriotic principles in order to cultivate peaceful coexistence in all homes.
The event has not been commemorated for decades, but was revived in 2010 by the Government and State Institutions.
