The new Cameroonian Ambassador in Equatorial Guinea, Desire Jean Claude Owono, has officially presented his credentials before the country’s Foreign Minister.
The ceremony took place at the departmental headquarters on Friday November 13, 2020.
The accreditation papers were received by the Equato-Guinean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Simeón Oyono Esono.
The new Ambassador it should be noted was appointed by President Paul Biya on August 28, 2020.
The office for Diplomatic Information has issued a Press Statement relative to the presentation of credentials.
Ambassador Desire Jean Claude Owono, before the appointment was chairman of the public procurement commision of the Ministry of Finance.
He has a rich experience with the United Nations haven worked as Director of the United Nations and Decentralized Cooperation.
He was appointed barely weeks after Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea signed a cooperation agreement on collaboration and joint action modalities of cross border security between the two nations.
That was precisely on July 21, 2020.
